Hey, I have a E6600 conroe and i was wondering whats the best heat sink is out there that beats the price and keeps the processor below 50C which my current stock heatsink does i am looking for something that keeps the temps around 25 to 30 degrees at idle and the price range of around 40 bucks.

Does a great job keeping my systems cool. Four of them Q6600, e6600, 4800X2, and 3700.

yes but ur temps are around 41 and 42 in idle mines are around 45 not big of a difference using a 50 dollar heatsink.... sorry if anything sound ignorant but i have never used that program before so i might be wrong somewhere.

Click the 'configure' tab and uncheck AUX. That is a non-measured readout being displayed. The readout is not measuring anything on your computer. Your temps are all right for using the stock 775 cooler, but not as good as you will get with a Zalman 9500. A 9500 would cream that sock 775 you are using if put under load.

I'm going to go off a limb and recommend something I own but I've not yet used--a Scythe Infinity. They're probably still on special ($20 instant rebate), too. If you're thinking of heatsink towers, make sure it fits!

Newegg has a discount on the Scythe Infinity and Scythe Ninja.

//Slight Thread Hijack//

Which one is better, the Infinity or the Ninja? I'd really like to know.
