[omg i hate this stupid subsection thing, I've just lost the whole post and I'm going to have to write it again. just a little annoyed]
anyway. i'm going off to uni soon and i'm looking for a laptop. currently I've noticed there's lots of T5500's around and they seem to be at gd prices. the laptop in particular that i've seen alot of is the Acer Extensa with the above processor. how come there seems to be so many and why are they at a gd price? if it is a gd price that is? i don't know much about processors so i don't know how powerful it is (and all the 'T' models aren't on the cpu charts). i'm guessing there's so many of those laptops cause there a gd price, but just thought i'd ask just in case there just trying to get rid of something rubbish. I'm currently have a AMD 64 3200, 1GB of ram and a geforce 7600GT, if you could use that as a kinda bench mark. i will also need to run some hefty simulation programs at uni so it needs to cope will a little strain. (I'm off to do electronic engineering).
