I used the Bios to overclock my AMD Opteron 170 from 2.0ghz to 2.4ghz. (240 x 10 = 2400)
But Vista only sees it as 2.12ghz, as well as CPU-Z. Is my CPU really doing 2.4ghz?

If not, what can I do about it?

The only way I was able to get a true 2.4ghz speed, was using Nvidia nTune, but that program spontaneously disappears from my computer.

Opteron will be down clocking to save power... but will boost up when it needs too... try running prime95 on the machine to get the CPU working then try CPU-z again...

Yes, I know it does that, but CPU-Z says my bus speed is 212mhz instead of 240, and I had my CPU at 100% and it still said 2.12ghz. I've seen my cpu as low as 1ghz from the downclocking but only the multiplier was lowered, not the bus speed.
