I am trying to set up my rig with a redundant PSU but i have no idea how to... does it mean that i just have to pop in another PSU and jump da blue and green wires to get it running or do i have to do some other configurations to the PSU? :pt1cable: Thanks

why not invest in a battery backup system?

Put down the screwdriver and step back from your computer case! If you want a redundant PSU installed (for whatever reason) go to a computer shop and let them install it.

You will need a motherboard that supports redundant supplies (basically, a server board). Why do you need redundant power supplies?

maybe i gotten my concept all wrong cuz i was thinking to have one psu to power my accessories and another to just power my mobo, cpu and gpu only.

It is completely feasible, however it is inefficient, to use 2 power supplies for a system.

To power both psu's all that is required is to splice the pin 14 wires (green) of both psu's together so that the start button powers both on at same time, then to ensure that both cases are grounded to the chassis.
