Is overclocking your video card (coolbits, ATI tool) not supported in Vista?

I'm not sure about Coolbits or ATI Tool, but the Overdrive overclocking utility (that is found in the Catalyst Control Center) works when using Vista.

ATI tool has a beta version that runs in vista but didnt work properly with me. I could change everything except for clocks. Overdrive in CCC is only available if your card supports it. Not every ATI card can use it.

I use ATItool ver .27 with Vista and an 8800gtx. I have a default profile on start up that works fine with one big exception. I could find no way to get it to load on start up with UAC enabled. Like most people I've long since disabled UAC but it's problems involved a lot more than just ati tool.
