I have a pure solid Thermaltake copper core heat sink on it and plenty of fans. are these ok temps for this processor.

It is fine, AthlonXPs can take up to about 75c before they go the point where heat could damage the CPU, I have my AthlonXP set to turn-off if it gets above 70c.

Wow, an Athlon XP.

I have an Athlon XP-M 2600+ in my good 'ol HTPC.

If your motherboard allows you to adjust the CPU voltage, I would try and decrease it a little bit. Based on my experience, the A-XP should still be stable with a minor voltage decrease. I think I dropped the voltage on my old A-XP 2800+ from 1.65v down to 1.475v and it was still able to run stable at stock speed.

The CPU will suffer no damage when undervolted. At worse you will experience stability issues which means you decreased the voltage too much.

i just looked and i can't adjust voltage so i gues i will live with it lol not like im burning it up it has a copper heat sink so heat is moving of good. i suspect in the winter time will be much cooler as i don't turn the heat on in this room much.
