Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a new graphics card for a newly built system and according to Tom's recommendations, the x1950 xt seems the best all rounder for price.

Only thing I've had a good look online but no where seems to be selling it, does anybody know where online i can get one? the only one i've seen readily avalible is the Sapphire version but ideally i'd like to get the quieter powercolor or HIS versions. Is the x1950 xt being discontinued now?

Or should i just give up and go for pro version or even the 8800 gts (which i've seen as little as £160) in some places?

I play my games at 1280 X 1024 (due to monitor size ) at medium settings most of the time, but it would be nice to play at higher settings when games like Bioshock and Crysis come out.

The x1950xt has been discontinued they are getting rid of old stock at the moment. Thats why they are so cheap. To be honest if you have the money just buy 8800gts. As for the quiter versions of the 1950xt they are not worth the extra premium you would have to pay if you were to find one. Just get a GTS and enjoy the eye candy. Besides it will last longer than the 1950xt.
