help with first build

first time here on these forums, and from looking around they seem very helpful

I am going to be building my fist computer and i have no idea what components to use. I was wondering if anyone could help me pick out components for a build that has to stay under $2000 shipped. I don't have anything from an old build so i need speakers moniter os... Iam thinking about trying my hand at overclocking, any guides to help...

Hey there lost, welcome to the forums. For around $2000 you can put together a pretty nice system.

It's hard to figure out what you get you without some info on what you want it to go. Gaming? Applications? Design? Anything like that.

This doesn't include a UPS. Some items are entirely arbitrary, like the case, speakers, KB, and mouse. This doesn't include a separate CPU cooler either, but there's enough left to choose one when you decide to OC.
