Connect your computer to the router with a LAN cable. Reset the router to its default settings (usually by pressing the small button o n the back of the router). Open a browser IE7 or Firefox), in the address bar, type in 192.168.1.1, provide the default router log-in (on LinkSys/Cisco it's usually "linksys" without the quotes), upon accessing the router interface, choose the settings you want: wireless, WEP/WPA, password, etc.
