I have the newest omega drivers.

yet I can get the tv to show something when it's on AV it's just blank, it's working and when I click on the volume button for example it shows this volume bar on the screen.
tried it with two different TVs, and I also tried that force tv identification in the display->settings->adcvanced->displayes.

didn't work.

Set the resolution really low (say 640 X 480) on a regular monitor then try to hook it up to the tv. And be sure to uncheck the "hide modes this monitor can't display", it tends to interfere with "odd" connections. If you're trying to use a tv as a secondary monitor, that may not work for you.

Hold up... are you saying the desktop works on the TV, but video files don't?

I can halp with that, if that's your problem.

So lets get this straight if i undestand correctly you are on the av channel but when you hock up the display wires to it you get no picture?
1 Does your tv have more than 1 av mode and if so are you using the right one? I have 3 and mine wont work on the rear ones but will with the yellow /white/red sockets on the front.
2 AV can be a funny thing like if you have other stuff connected to the sockets you cant expect the one that is on and powered to just auto play over the others my DVD will play over the top of my set top box but my Video wont??
What i would do is disconnect any other equipment and try it on its own in the diff sockets.

With some TVs like the one I have the S-Video port has a switch built in that when you have a cable plugged into it it will then disable the RCA plugs on say Video 1. Newer TVs now sense the inputs and automatically switch for you or require 'activation' of that input in the TVs setup before you can use it. You may also try, if you have one, going through the input on your VCR to the TV and see if that works.

The refresh rate to the TV must be 60hz.

@utaka95: Didn't work mate :)

Does anybody has any idea?

whenever I choose the 2-monitor and check "extend my desktop to..." and click apply it just uncheck itself.
and when I choose 2-monitor and check "extend my desktop to..." and check "use this is as my primary monitor" the PC screen became blank for a second and then returns, and both fields are unchecked.

??? :(

Why dont you start again and explain exactly what you are trying to do your first post reads like you cant get your tv out to work and the second reads like you are trying to run a tv as a second monitor, which is it? :)

Well, I'm not realy sure.
I'm just trying to get my TV to show what's on the pc screen, I don't care how :)
I don't mind if the PC screen will be off while the tv is on if that's what you mean.

jus tell me how to get it done lol :)

I have lateset omega driversm they are fine, and also got some tools like "force TV identafication".

I have radeon 9800 pro and I'm pretty sure it has a Tvout and not Vivo.

Ok.. now I got mine working, but not sure if it was the DVI /S-video combo.. I switched the monitor to running it off the VGA instead of DVI (which had an adapter on it), then S-video straight into the tv. I tried unplugging the other composite (AV-yellow, white/red audio) cables from the TV.. didn't really make a difference. TV was on AV channel. Not having the manual for the TV.. is it that?? ok.. I switched up one channel (91 on my RCA is for Video) and surprise channel 90 is for S-video input! I could spend some time switching it all back.. trying .. but no.. not even.

Good luck

Dan
