Asking for a friend, cant get to the pc (which makes it 100x harder)
Hes running...
2x sata hdd's (identical)
1x ide hdd
1x sata dvd

New sata has been formatted and running fine.
Old sata: with all his porn on, no OS, not sure what file sys fat32/ntfs, but it IS listed as a 'dynamic disk' (all mine are listed a basic :sarcastic: )

Old sata is listed in bios (auto mode), but does not come up in windows, but IS listed in disk management.
Has the option to convert to basic/format, but losing his porn... well, i think he will neck himself :cry:

The old sata was running as a 'backup' drive in his old system and worked fine. Tried different sata ports, cables and power.

Any ideas muchly appreciated. :hello:
