I just checked the properties for My Computer and it says:

Computer:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor
3200+
1.00ghz
1.50GB of RAM

I thought they were supposed to be 2.0 or 2.2 ghz??? Because 1.00 sounds a bit low...
Also, my mobo would be an Asus A8N VM CSM, which has no overclocking features, if that means anything..

I don't know if your chip[set has speed step or not but, that is my first guess also maybe you memory needs to be set to the right mhz. I had to set mine right on my new setup it's not a biggy just go in and turn off the speed step if it has it,,, I don't know anything about amd or adjust your memory whichever it is.
