Will X38 support ECC memory?

Does Intel plan to support ECC memory for any of the new chipsets? Will DDR3 memory modules be made with ECC? Or is ECC memory considered obsolete for desktop and work station boards? The 975X boards are the last ones, and Intel doesn't seem to want to support the new 1333 CPUs with it.

I noticed that the latest server boards support DDR2 memory with ECC.

Thanks!

Yes. I have seen a DDR3 ECC module. Workstation no but for desktop it just is not that important. The X38 supports the 1333 FSB processors.

The 975 has gotten long in the tooth. That is why Intel is not officially supporting the 1333 processors. The board Bad Axe 2 should be able to support that FSB speed.
