I'm a first time overclocker.

My System: Q6600 with Tuniq Tower, Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3l, 2g Crucial Ballistix at 5,5,5,15

Ok so I have a stable overclock at 9x333MHz giving me 3GHz. Now I want to tighten the memory timings but whenever I change the clocks at all it doesn't pass Prime95. Do I need to increase memory voltage?

Sparky,

How did you change the timing on the motherboard? I have the same motherboard but can't find where to change my timing. Thanks.

Hatman- I've got the memory at 833 Mhz. With my FSB at 333 Mhz I figured that was enough. No? According to CPU-Z FSB/DRAM is 4/5.

Iomega01- I'll include it all since I don't know where you've looked.

Go into bios and on the main page hit cntrl/F1. Go down to "MB Intelligent Tweaker" (MIT)". Your memory multiplier will be listed there as well as your memory frequency. You'll want to set "DRAM Timing Selectable" to manual then you can change the CAS# Latency, RAS# to CAS# Delay, RAS# Precharge and Cycle Time. I found that after OCing I needed to bump my DDR2 overvoltage up .2 volts for it to be stable.
