Bought an Acer Revo. We got it for my Girlfriends Daughter. Don't care if it's slow as balls.. long as it surfs the net, etc.
Since it runs Windows XP Home it doesn't have gpedit.msc and I wanted to restrict access to certain things so she can't do anything. I used Doug's Security Console to block access to Control Panel and remove Network Options from start menu.
Tonight I get a NetGear Wireless-G adapter, but the software won't run. It opens and closes immediately.
My only option to set it up is to get into network settings.. how do I re-enable access to Control Panel again? Even though network isn't listed on Start menu I can still find them, but my wireless adapter isn't listed in network.. only ethernet which is built in.
