Just got a new fan and heatsink to put on my CPU, an e4300 that was clocked at 2.4 gigahertz, and I was thinking maybe I should go ahead and lap the processor to try and reduce heat even further. Seeing how its already been OC'd, lapping wont violate the warranty anymore than i already have....

Question: how do you do it? I know its sanding down the side of the processor that meets the heatsink, but do I use steel wool? Normal sandpaper? A meat grinder? (just kidding on that last one)

And what are the best techniques?
