hey all. got a e6850 and a p5n32-e sli on the way. Do I need to get a cpu that is recognized by the 0602 bios (apparently most boards are shipping with this)in order to flash the bios to 1102 or will I be able to get into the bios with the e6850 installed (and then of course flash the bios to 1102)?

from what I have read the 1102 is the first version that supports the e6850. as I have done my research on the web I get conflicting answers as to whether I'll be able to get into the bios with the 0602 and e6850 installed. some say yes, others no. I'll buy a cheap cpu that is recognized by the 0602 version if I have to, no biggie.

thanks! :D

your board should have a fairly recent bios on it hopefully.
It will be really old stock to have the 602 on there.
