I am finishing up my first ever computer build and I'm trying to decide between these two cards:

BFG 7950gt OC 256mb for $139.99 after rebate
EVGA 8600gts Superclocked $130.99 after rebate

It's not in the budget for a 8800 right now. In most reviews the 7950 performs better, but would the 8600gts be better in the long run? Since EVGA has the 90 day step-up program, would it be better to get the 8600gts right now and then upgrade to an 8800 in 90 days if the price drops? By the way, I'm not that big on first person shooters. I mostly play WoW but would like to move into some newer games with my new system. Any advice would be greatly appreciated since I would really like to order and finish my build as soon as possible.

7950GT OC without a doubt, it destroys a 8600gts ,

WTF... 7950GT does not destroy the 8600GTS...

 

the 7950GT simply VIOLENTLY RAPES 8600GTS :)

8600GTS, because you hate yourself ;)

the 8600GTS gets beat by the 7900GS in most benchies i think a 7950GT would um VIOLENTLY rape it?
