PCI-E run just at 4x

So i have a new computer. In windows my VGA runs just at PCI-E 4x, but motherboard
supports 16x. How can i fix this problem?


Motherbord: Intel 945GZ
VGA: ATI Radeon 2400 Series
RAM: 1GB

Look on the motherboard BIOS for the PCI-E settings, you can most likely increase the bandwidth there. However for an HD2400 you probably won't see a real impact in performance between x16 and x4 since it's not really a powerful card.

I have looked in BIOS, but there is all OK. Maybe something i can do in windows because it shows there that my VGA works just at 4x

Not that I know of, that a BIOS thing usually. But don't worry, as I told you already, that HD2400 probably won't perform that much better under PCI-e x16 compared to what it does under x4.

But it nicer to see that ur videocard is runing at 16x not just 4x. OK anyway tnx for help
