As the topic name says, I need some help picking out a mobo for my new quad core rig. It'll be based off a Q6600 and I'm trying to find a good, stable DDR2 based mobo to use. To be exact as to what I'm doing, I'll be taking out the old mobo, processor, memory and replace it with the Q6600 et al. I'm tempted to just go with what I know to be a particularly good mobo, a Gigabyte DS3, (Based on previous builds as well as topics in the past that have praised it) but I'd like a second opinion on what motherboard to get.

And yes, I do want to get a quad core. I do have a use for the four cores as I do video encoding as well as graphics rendering, both of which would benefit hugely from a Q6600 over my current Opteron 170.

Thank you!
