a400(6800ultra) - strange behaviour???

Hi,

my leadtek a400 (6800ultra) started doing strange things. First, it renders a lot of small dots over screen.

here's a sample how it looks while windows is loading.

I tried reinstalling drivers, but for sure it didnt help as the problem starts from the very beginning of pc loading.
any further driver installment results in a crash. For sure its smthng with hardware or bios...
also tired card on other pc, same problem.

perhaps its the card's bios? how to reinstall it?

dammit why did this had to happen to me?...

btw machine specs:

asus a8v mainboard
350w power supply
athlon 3000+
1gb ram
80 gb seagate hdd

Hows your temps? Its obviously pixelating, and may be the end of your card. Make sure your temps are ok, tho on startup, already doing this doesnt look good

check the vram temps with your hand and check if they are hot, because it is generally hot ram that makes it artifact moreso than the core, however the ram doesn't have temp sensors.

According to my calculations you need a power supply with 20-22 amps on the 12v rails.
I don't think your current PSU has enough power.

have you moved the cp or touched the vid card recently? Or did this happen out of no-were? poping open the side of the case and have a fan blowing in on it see if that helps. You may have damaged the card, or ram fried. was it oced? How did this happen?
