Thats pretty much your only option for a slimline HDMI videocard. Your next option would be the "bigger brother," which would be the 2600.

I think the tiny Radeon 2400's will have HDMI as well...

are there any 2600's that are low profile?

Don't expect to game on the HD2400 or 8400GS. Maybe if you can find a HD2600 you could do some very very light gaming.

You can game at 1024x768 with a 2400 or 8400 (might have to lower some detail in some titles though).

A 2600 XT or 8600 GT would bring that up to 1280x1024.

Well that entirely depends on what is your definition of finding a game enjoyable, I don't find a game running at 20-30fps max by no means enjoyable.

fps = frames per second, not first person shooters :P It depends on the context on which you use it.

A 2400 or 8500 can run most games at 1024x768 at far greater FPS than 20 to 30, especially if you lower a setting here or there.

It's higher resolutions and next-gen titles that will cripple them. Guild wars at 1200x1000 might be iffy, but guild wars is a pretty easy title to run, and it's not an FPS. Might even handle it.

I know this is an older thread but I think it's important with all of the thin cases around these days.

The fastest videocard I have found by far is the nVidia 7600GS. It has HDMI and will destroy the HD2400XT and Pro, as well as the 8400GS. They are next to impossible to find however.

Cheers!
