Your next option would be the "bigger brother," which would be the 2600. RedZone August 22, 2007 6:39:54 PM are there any 2600's that are low profile? emp August 22, 2007 6:47:18 PM Don't expect to game on the HD2400 or 8400GS. Maybe if you can find a HD2600 you could do some very very light gaming. cleeve August 22, 2007 6:50:58 PM You can game at 1024x768 with a 2400 or 8400 (might have to lower some detail in some titles though). A 2600 XT or 8600 GT would bring that up to 1280x1024. emp August 22, 2007 6:54:35 PM Well that entirely depends on what is your definition of finding a game enjoyable, I don't find a game running at 20-30fps max by no means enjoyable. RedZone August 22, 2007 7:14:34 PM im not planning on play fps im only intersted in guild wars and guild wars 2 when it comes out emp August 22, 2007 7:18:39 PM fps = frames per second, not first person shooters It depends on the context on which you use it. RedZone August 22, 2007 7:33:15 PM oh geeze. haha i wasnt refering to other peopels posts when i said that sorry for the confusion. i know the difference between 20-30 fps and the games that are fps do you guys think a 2400 pro would be able to play guild wars / guild wars 2 at 1200x1000 . eye candy doesnt matter Maziar a c 167 U Graphics card August 23, 2007 7:32:47 AM it may struggle cleeve August 24, 2007 4:35:03 PM emp said:Well that entirely depends on what is your definition of finding a game enjoyable, I don't find a game running at 20-30fps max by no means enjoyable. A 2400 or 8500 can run most games at 1024x768 at far greater FPS than 20 to 30, especially if you lower a setting here or there. It's higher resolutions and next-gen titles that will cripple them. Guild wars at 1200x1000 might be iffy, but guild wars is a pretty easy title to run, and it's not an FPS. Might even handle it. B1B November 5, 2007 3:03:43 AM I know this is an older thread but I think it's important with all of the thin cases around these days. The fastest videocard I have found by far is the nVidia 7600GS. It has HDMI and will destroy the HD2400XT and Pro, as well as the 8400GS. They are next to impossible to find however. Cheers! Can't find your answer ? Ask !
