Hi All,

This is the mobo I have ordered
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/EN%2 [...] tail_spec. aspx?ID=en-gb0000205

This is their approved CPUs:
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/EN-U [...] 0906445858 77MCP55PM2A01%20CPU%20040607.htm

I was hoping to get a brisbane cpu, but as you can see, they do not list any as approved.

As a newbie to building, should I just stick with the windsor to be safe? I am too new at this to know how to find out if there is a way to flash the BIOS on this board to support brisbane.

Thanks for any advice.

I don't think that you'll have any problem running the brisbane.
The approved CPUs list is a list of parts that have been tested to work together but that doesn't mean that they won't run well with a part that is not on the list.
What you can do is google your motherboard to see if anyone has the configuration you wanted and then ask him if he has any problems.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I did not come up with much of anything off of google, which worries me a bit. Maybe I can post a thread specific to the foxcon board.

Or you could search in the forums.
Try it here Anandtech, and others.
