Install dell printer on toshiba

Hello,
I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and was wondering how to connect with a dell 948 printer if possible.

If it is a normal usb printer, all you should have to do is install the xp drivers and plug it in.

Plug in the USB cord. You can either install the drivers from an install disc, or from Dell's website. Once the drivers are installed, turn on the printer. Your laptop will recognize your new hardware. Go to your start menu-->printers, and make sure the Dell printer is your default printer.
