Uninstall the printer from device manager, and scan for hardware changes!
If still you are getting same problems means, check with some print jobs! If everything works fine means just leave it! Sometimes for same series of printers with minor advanced features, manufacturers will give same set of drivers!
the problem i faced (past - because i manually selected 710 from the drivers available in xppro) was not because manufacturer gave same drivers for 710 and 720. it is something to do with XPpro falsely recognising 710 as 720.
the reason i say this is, 710C (that is, the drivers) is available in the list of devices in XP Pro (that i recently installed, after removing my XP home). YET, instead of recognising (and offering me the auto-selected choice) my printer as 710, it offered me ONLY the option of 720.
so, i denied the install that time, and selected 710 by going thru Add Hardware.
