Alright, in my sig lists my current machines setup. I am running onboard video out to a crappy 19" 4:3 LCD with bad burn-in. Now, I need some recommendations for a graphics card and monitor to go with it. I am estimating my budget to be about $400. So far, I would like no less than a 20" monitor, and I will be gaming on this machine. My first config idea was a 20" Samsung, and an 8600GTS OC card. What do you all think?

I am confused one on thing though, I was reading the 8800 series cards need 26A on one 12V rail. My power supply will do 14A on 12V rail 1, 13A on 12V rail 2, and 6A on 12V rail 3. Does this mean my power supply will not handle an 8800 card, should I ever upgrade to such a beast?

nvidia recommend a power supply with 26A IN TOTAL on the 12V rails, it actually uses about 8-9amps so you'd have to make sure you attached it to either rail 1 or 2 with nothing else on whichever rail you use for the gfx card

Well, thanks for the recommendations. Picked up a BFG overclocked 7950 GT tonight. $139 after $40 rebate!!! Pretty smokin' card for sub-$150 range!

Haha, thanks for the nice replies. It was too good of a deal to pass up, I think I will have a decent game playing machine now.
