Please forgive this newbie question:
Infrant's ReadyNAS boasts about being able to add disks dynamically to their RAID 5. They call this "X RAID", and it is a very attractive feature to me, although their NV+ doesn't have the best performance stats.
Is the ability to add disks to a RAID 5 without rebuilding it from scratch a feature that Infrant has a monopoly on? Or is this something that can be done with every RAID 5?
Thanks
Josh
