Hi, i was just wondering if it is possible to setup a network or connection between 3 or more Desktops/Laptops if they
have wireless cards installed or will i have to purchase a router?
the setup is intended to be used for gaming.

A wireless connection between 2 wireless adapters is known as an "ad hoc connection" (as opposed to the more usual "infrastructure" ).

If you download the manuals for your adapter(s) or they have their own user interfaces you may find instructions on how to set that up. Ad hoc is usually used for simple file transfers between computers so I don't know how well it would work with more than 2 computers.
