I recently put together a machine with this board:

Right now I have my HDD plugged into the SATA2 (purple) port on the board. I figured it didn't matter and everything works fine, it's just Vista is recognizing it as this:
SATA ST35006 SCSI Disk Device
It is also set to slave in my bios while my DVD drive is set to master.
The problem I'm having is when I try to run the software (Seatools, Discwizard) that came with the drive it says I don't have a Seagate drive installed.
Does any of this matter? Should I put the drive on a regular SATA port, change the HDD as master? Is the software quirk just a Vista thing?
Sorry if this is a lame question, but this is my first build.
thanks!
