Dumb question. Have 2 -500 gb drives running raid 0. Removed the jumper that forces the drives into 150mb mode before creating the raid and installing the OS. Question is how do I know for sure if the drives are running at Sata 2 instead of one? I know you really cant get 300mb in sata 2 but the performance is suppose to be better in sata 2 over sata 1 so how can you tell if the are really running at sata 2?

Try HDTune i believe if it runs as SATAI it will list it as such if its SATAII then your ok. there isnt much difference between the 2 anyways as the sequential read/write speed doesnt even flood enough data through SATAI interface to bottleneck it.
