Looking at upgrading on a lowish budget. Thinking spending about £400 and considering using the following components:

OCUK X1950Pro 512DDR3
Geil PC6400C4 DDR2 2GB
Either the E6750 (OC'd to 3GHz) or Q6600

Added to my current setup:
Thermaltake Kandalf
DVDRW
2x Raptors
1x 400GB SATA
620W Enermax PSU

Just wondering what you think of my mobo selection or if you would recommend a different mobo. The MSI is about £76 so fire away with suggestions

Cheers

It is decent.

However, remember, you are spending $100 on one of the most important parts of your rig.

I always preferred to buy a nice mobo, and a cheaper CPU, because it give me the ability to upgrade.

I just bought a P5k-E to put in my machine, and it was only $50 more...but it is a P35 chipset, and is compatible with the new Intel processors on their way out.

It is definitely something to think about. Might want to spend $50 more on the mobo, and $50 less on one other thing, and be able to upgrade again in another year with the same mobo.
