Need to build a new system but it's been a while

please take look at this parts list I compiled via new egg and feel free to make suggestions.. I haven't kept up like I should since my Northwood 875 build so I need some direction if possible .. uses are mainly p2p via torrents, dvd ripping and burning, some moderate 3d fgaming, music recording through a PODXT USB, the usual internet stuff ISO creation, MS office, adobe reader etc...

total cost for this system is currently at 1100 shipped .. all suggestions to either increase performance or better yet maintain \ increase performance while lowering cost (short of OC'ing .., I've killed too many 478 systems that way ) very much appreciated

Swap in the newer P35 chipset with Asus P5K
Swap in the newer E6850

and swap the 8600gt for a 8800 gts 320 mb if you can, or atleast the x1950 pro. much better card.

Drop down to a 6750 or even 6550 that will get your money back

I personally think if you arent gamming all that much your 8600gt could stay.
