I have searched all the web and I have looked into this forum to find my solution, I have failed so far.

so my problem is 1 of my sata drives is very slow writing, I havent benchmarked it but it is a significant diffrence between this drive and all other drives.

I can read/write with a good performance from/to all drives. it´s just this maxtor drive thats bugging me, I cant write to it, one file I have used ~980mb copys from all disks to any other disk in 30 seconds more or less, but copys to maxtor drive in ~10 minutes.

The drive is new

My computer contains of:
Motherboard: Asus P5gd1
1 Ide Hdd split in to 3 partitions seagate contains c:\
1 sata hitachi 160gb
1 sata maxtor 500gb

1500mb ram
p4 ht technology processor 3ghz

any ideas?

I have had many problems with Maxtor drives.
But you may wish to check your settings to make sure you are set up to use DMA with the Maxtor drive. If for some reason you are in PIO mode it will be slower.
