So.. first the geographical update. I live in Denmark, not far from the german border.

I was recommended the other day to buy a Radeon X1950 Pro for my AGP slot, I was looking at the Sapphire version with 512mb GDDR3 Ram. Then it occured to me that I could infact get GeCube x1950xt with 256mb GDDR3 ram for the exact same price if I ordered it online in germany. Now before I go ahead and do this, will the x1950xt be noticeable faster? I'm thinking.. it does have 256mb ram less than the Sapphire X1950 Pro.

I don't own it but all the comments and articles I've read point to the x1950xt.

You own an AGP system - check on the PSU before you order either card or you may be in for a rude awakening.

At 1680X1050 you can expect the X1950xt to be about 12~20 FPS. In Doom3 the X1950xt get about 16FPS higher at 1600X1280.

basically the xt is faster in 99% of games, its only where games REQUIRE 512 as a minimum (and no games do that except on ultra high textures) that the pro would be faster

I'm gonna go with the X1950XT then.

Is it possible to get a 512Mb version of the X1950XT for AGP? (just curious since it would probobly shatter my budget anyway) :/

The friendly board members who recommended the x1950 Pro informed me of the PSU problem, it is already taken care of. But thanks for your concern.

Someone posted one just a while ago. I think it was a GeCube on Newegg. Around $199.
