I am getting ready to build a new system and while i was reviewing customer comments on the P35 Asus P5k Series and Gigabyte GA-P35 series boards i noticed a lot of comments about board failures requiring the boards to have to be replaced and problems with USB and sound. Are there a lot of reliability/QC problems with these new boards or are most of the people that write the reviews disgruntled customers.

I have owned ASUS board for the last 10 years with no problems but don't want to spend a lot of money if their products no longer hold up.

Thanks for your assistance.

In my experience both Asus & Gigabyte make quality products. There will always be unsatisfied customers and faulty gear…. The question is - how many units are sold that resulted in satisfied customers compared to unsatisfied?
I think you would find that both Asus and Gigabyte have pretty decent track records.

I for one always buy Asus boards….

Ill agree with Grieve there are are always some dissatisfied customers that get the low percentage of boards that fail.

Im an Asus fanboi too so i stick with them
