Back with a Rig Faster than a Speeding Bullet!

Hi guys i am back with a new PC , these are my old config :

TT ARMOR -2GB OCZ DDR2 533 GOLD -ASUS EN7900GTX -TT 680WAT PSU -CORE2E6600- GIGABYTE 96PDS4

I kept my CPU and Case , and upgrade to these :

1_ASUS P5K-E WIFI , pretty awesome mobo , the reason i didnt ASUS P5KC was that it only supported max 4GB DDR3 , and also it wasnt available here

2_4GB OCZ PC5800 REAPER 4-4-4-15 ram , Very excellent ram , awesome OCing

3_OCZ PROXSTREAM 1000WAT PSU , its very nice , 4 rails (4x12V1) , It ready for Dual 8800ULTRA

5_500GB H.D.D 16MB

5_And finally OCZ 8800GTX LImited Edition(there was only 300 produced and 4 came to iran , and this was the last one) which will be OCed very soon !

Well , i OCed my CPU to 3.2 stable , but this isnt my goal , when i get my new CPU cooler (OCZ VNDICATOR) this week , i will reach 3.3 or 3.4 OR EVEN 3.6
also currently i have 32Bit XP , again when i get my CPU cooler , i will get VISTA ULTIMATE 64bit , for full 4GB ram and DX10 support

overall , its fast , real fast , the reason i didnt get Quadcore was that currenly my CPU is very fast and will be faster , i may get QuadCore few months later,
so rate my rig (with E6600 @ 3.4)

yes but is it able to leap tall buildings in a single bound ;) , nice work but if you want sheer performance, the Quad core is a must and an SLI board with two GTX's is to sweet for words. I just settled down my Q6600 at 3.5Ghz. It will run 3.6Ghz but some apps create errors so 3.5Ghz is fine. I also just hit 17,324 3Dmark06 score :bounce:,

Yes , here are my AM3 , SUPER PI , 3DMARK 06 :
3DMARK 06 : (well , its 10782 when i tested now :D )

SUPER P1 : (15.906)

AM3 (i know its old , but here is my score ) : 174.106

to WAREZME , well i will get QuadCore when there will be more multithreaded games and apps , also i have a 17inch LCD with a 1280x1024 resolution , so i wont need SLI for that resolution , thats why i choosed P5K-E over STRIKER EXTREME ,

i dont get it... either im super lucky or something. i have a e4300 @to 3420mghz 2gigs of g.skill @950mhz 4-4-4-10
and a evga 8800gts 320mb running 661/1050.
my cpu is 200mghz faster than his but he has faster super-pi times (i get 17s super-pi)and his video card kills mine comparing raw power vs raw power... about to upgrade to a q6600 and get a gtx. but i get a higher 3dmark score with my 8800gts so i might keep it who knows. wanted a gtx for my new new acer 22" so i can play games at max res. i currently do bf2 max everthing 16xaf and 8xaaq ftps dont drop below 110 and avarage is about 170..

your cpu is a e6600 with 4 mb or cache. a true conroe core that allows you to go beyond 450+ fsb. i have a allandle core e4300 with 2mb of cache. my highest fsb on a ga 965p ds3 rev 1.3(my motherbord) is 389mghz fsb( 3420ghz) you could easily go up to 3.6ghz and even close to 4ghz with good cooling. PLUS your 8800gtx has 128 shadders with 768mb of vram mine only have 96 shadders with 320mb vram

Honestly, you could've just kept your own build, even that 7900GTX was pretty good. If anything you could've upgraded only the graphics card to the 8800GTX, you won't notice much of a difference between your old build and the new one.

Yeah, I was doing the same thing, but I just built two and I am waiting for a PC&P Silencer 610 for the third build. At $300.00 it's just too cheap.

to mousemonke y , i recommand Q6600 to everyone and i still recommand it ,but i have a E6600 and it works fine and does everything well , and i said i will definitely get a QuadCore when programs become more multithreaded , if i wanted to BUILD a new system , i would have got a Q6600 definitely but it was an upgrade

to EMP , well i really saw a lot of difference with 7900gtx and 8800gtx, a 8800gtx is 2xtimes faster than a 7900gtx (even in my resolution which is 1280x1024 ) , i really see difference in games , also my ASUS P5K-E has a lot of better OCing potentional than my GIGABYTE 965DS4 , also my ram was 2GB OCZ DDR2 533 , which was fine but not good for OCing high , so i got a new RAM,
My old TT 680W PSU was only 3 rails (3x12v) ,but my new PSU has 4 rails (4x12v) although it is noisier , but its a lot better , overall my current rig is alot faster than the last one , u may not believe it , but it is and i never regret upgrading

to TSIMonster, yeah i like OCZ very much its my favourite brands ,also it make good products :D

Im not telling you that it isn't faster, it is a fact alright, the point im trying to make is that for the kind of money you spent it just wasn't worth the performance gains, maybe only the GTX and newer ram at most, since the 8800GTX is about 40% faster than the 7900GTX overall. Also, the PSU was not worth upgrading unless you going for a dual card config, which you didn't.

ASUS P5K Boards are also completely overpriced, especially in comparison to P35 Boards from gigabyte, they offer same features for nearly half the price, best board right now to get is GA-P35-DS3R. I have yet to see a P5K properly priced for what they offer. (Just like that POS Striker Extreme)

As long as you're comfortable with your upgrade then it's good, however I was just trying to point out that it wasn't necessary a complete overhaul of the system to gain the same performance.

It's cool. I like to brand match too if it doesn't cost too much more. OCZ does make good stuff for the most part.
