Hey i just got a power color x1950 pro agp for my pc. I installed the card into the slot and tried to boot. It hangs on windows startup screen so i think, video drivers of old card are still on. So i reset and tried safe mode but it hung also on the startup screen, so i removed the card and put the old x1650 in and it boot fine so i can remove video drivers. Now i try the x1950 again but the same thing happens it hangs.

I have read places that you need a better psu for x1950, is this true? but i think thats only for 512 mb ones but maybe im wrong.

So now im trying a format, hope it works i will let you know if it does. Any help is much appreciated. THANKS!!!

well, it would help if you told us what PSU you have. Irrespective of wether its 256MB or 512, this card does need a fair bit of more power than the 1650.

It could also be a faulty card.
