I am using both of the utils and have a 15c difference in core temps. Speedfan has temps as 302 for the cores and CoreTemp has 45,43,40,46. Which is right and are these temps normal for a Q6700 @ 3.33 (10*333, 1.36v) using a zalman 9500 on a GA-P35-DQ6.

Thanks

The short answer is that Speedfan measures the difference between current and shutdown temps, and the 15c difference you see on SpeedFan is because that is the difference in shutdown temp between older and newer stepping.

Thanks. That sux, lol. I was oc'd at 3.33 ghz and core temp was hitting 80c and speedfan was at 65c guess I pushed it to much with a zalman 9500, have to go back to 3.2ghz.
