Hey all, im looking at buying a new monitor, used mostly for gaming, i want an LCD widescreen, atleast 19", and prefer it to be in the $150-240 range.

I have been looking at this and am wondering if this is a good choice,

Edit: ok for some reason i cant post link so heres the name: LG 19" Widescreen Monitor - Black (L196WTQ)

just copy and paste that into www.circuitcity.com search bar

Mostly play FPS

I have noticed that they did not tell me what the display colors were, though im guessing since they didnt its 16.2

Also is it really possible for it to have a 3000:1 contrast ratio? and how much of a difference is that between a 1000:1 contrast ratio?

Video card: x1950 pro

My advise is because you dont need to update monitors as much as any other computer part ***save up and get a good one.*** My last 21" lasted 10 years now i have a dell 24" its worth the extra cash.

3000:1 contrast ratio!!! dont know dont care.

OK lets do this properly. What are your system specs now. Im asking because if you now have a 21" crt that does 1920x1440, why would you want to go to a 19" wide that only does 1400x900?
