Can I backup my harddrive if my laptop doesnt turn on

IF you can remove it and put it into another system as a secondary drive (don't want to install it as the boot drive on the other system since that might cause the OS install to get corrupted if it changes the drivers etc.) then you should be able to backup the contents (as long as the reason the laptop will not turn on is not that the HDD died !) (since it is a laptop drive you might need to get the proper adapters to install it in another system or an adapter like this to make the laptop drive into an external USB drive - so you can attache the laptop drive to any other system through the USB port and access the info to make the backup image.
