Hey guys,
I recently bought a Samsung SA950 27" monitor. Which allows me to game in HD and 3D :D. The software that comes bundled with it is called Tridef. This software then converts 2D games to 3D. Unfortunately it seems like the software first works effectively with HD5000 series and up graphics cards, and I have HD4770. Does anyone know about this software? Is it good? And does having a 5000 series graphics card allow it to work better?

My LG D2342P-PN 3D Cinema Monitor came bundled with its own Free, TriDef Software Package. The Real-Time 2D-to-3D Conversion software works great and renders a very convincing 3D image from DVD's to 3D .mpo files.

I run the monitor off of DVI connected to an older PC Windows XP, sp3 rig: Athlon64 X2 6000+ 3GHz AM2 w/ 2GB RAM w/ an old Kingston 64GB SSD - based PC running the last-of-the great AGP8x Video Cards - an HIS ATI Radeon HD4670 AGP8x Video Card.

Although old, the PC rig serves me well.

The TriDef's Real-Time 2D-to-3D Conversion software 3D imaging is better than my Panasonic DMPBDT320 Blu-Ray3D Player's Conversion when either when running on the LG D2342P-PN 3D Cinema Monitor or my 47" VIZIO M3D470KDE 3DHDTV (both uses Passive 3D).

If you want a "better" hardware-base solution, you can try 3D-Bee.com's Converter Box - but that'll cost you $400.
