I have recently finished putting together my new build (first time) but when I go to turn it on I have an issue. Nothing on the computer will turn on, not even the PSU fans. But the little LED lights on my Death Adder mouse turn on which shows there is power somewhere. May my PSU be faulty, or did I hook something up to the MB wrong? I am sorry that I can not be more specific, but since this is my first build I am unsure what the problem may be.

MB/PSU:

GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

CORSAIR CMPSU-620HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 620W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CUL, CE, CB, FCC Class B, TUV, CCC, C-tick

Here is a picture of the set up for what it is worth:

Thank you for your time.

ok does the PSU itself turn on? like does the fan spin? Also exactly what cables did you connect from your PSU to your mobo? Also if you can take another pic, can you move some of the wires so we can see the full mobo and what it has connected into it?

I hate to hog others peoples posts but I'm having exactly the same problem, my built:

Seasonic s12 380w
gigabyte p35 s3
2gig ram ocz 6400 reaper
nmedia htpc 500 case

I've disconnected evreything else in order to isolate the problem. The VFD is on which means my usb ports are powerd but I don't see the psu fan spinning. When I press the on button the fans(psu+cpu+case) start spining only for a split second and then the computer turns off.
Any idea what's wrong?

I just did still the same result, the cpu fan only started spinning and then turned off. I only connected the 4 pin, 24 pin and power control.

Just a guess but I would suspect the mobo or PS. Did you plug in the ram? If not try it. Although I don't think it will make a difference, mobo or PS. you might also verify the HS is properly seated, but even poorly seated you should get more than 2 sec. before it overheats

You either need to put it in another machine or get a PSU tester, they are relatively cheap. You can't just plug it in and test it with a meter because unless it has a load (I think on the 5V of min. 1 amp) it won't start.
