Maxtor Diamondmax 8 problems...

Hi there,
I've recently have encountered some problems with my old Maxtor diamondmax 8 PATA hdd. it's no longer boot from my old pc, and when I tried to connect it to my new pc, only the bios recognize it, but Win XP doesn't.
my new pc is core2dou and main hdd is sata of course. can anyone help? I have very important data on it.

When it's in the new PC check the jumpers as well as the BIOS settings making sure you have them set to use ATA drive.
