it sounds like thats most likely just because theyre server chips, since they usually arent OCd at all in a server environment. just like with AMDs opterons, OCing just doesnt happen, so the speed you get, is the speed you stay with, and theyre priced accordingly. QoS testing im sure plays at least a small part in pricing anyhow.

These are Socket J (LGA 771) Xeons, not normal desktop parts. So your wait will apparently be longer unless you want a dual 771 system or have one already.
