I am running 1 BFG Nvidia 8800GTS 320 OC graphics card but have noticed that you can now buy a BFG 8800GTS OC2, can anyone tell me the difference between the two? My MB is capable of running SLI in full 16x mode, would I notice any big advantage in running two cards in SLI?

I don't think there is much of a difference. The OC2 has 30mhz more on the core clock and 50mhz more on the shaders. Oh and the sticker on the fan for the OC2 is different! SLI doesn't make a huge difference but it depends on a lot of things: games you play (optimized for SLI or not), the res you play at and the rest of your system. I think 30-50% performance increase might be a good guess. Take a look at the Tom's charts and see for yourself.

I run a 19" widescreen at 14490 x 900, my main query is about running 2 cards in SLI mode, will it up the frame rates in games or is the benefit only seen by using a bigger display? If by adding a second 8800GTS isnt going to make a great deal of difference then I dont think I will bother. Does processor speed make a big difference too? When I run 3d Mark 06 the CPU really struggles with some tests clocking a massive 1 or 2fps! Impressed aint ya! So upgrade my Pentium D Dual Core for a E6700 or slip another 8800GTS in the sucker?

^I think I agree. The biggest gains with SLI tend to be seen at higher resolutions. Lower resolutions tend to be a little dependent upon the CPU so you would probably benefit from something better than the Pentium D.
