it says my steping is B, but for revision, it's blank.

Also, Core Speed is showing 2000.1, why dosn't it say 2660.0?

Multiplier 6

FSB 1333

I have a e6750 2.66. My MB is a P35C-DS3R, corsair xms 800.


I just built this thing. any help much appreaciated.

Could be Intel's speedstep software, which like amd's cool and quiet, reduces cpu speed when it's idling. You can disable it in the bios, but I would use it. It will automatically increase the cpu speed to the max when under load, such as gaming.

Most likely the speedstep. Mine always jumps from 2.0ghz to 3.0ghz when I'm idle or not doing anything.

Absolutely EIST (speed step) multi goes from 9 to 6. Load CPU and recheck it will read multi 9 aprox. 3.0G. About CPUID not showing the G0 revision, that is indeed strange. Did the box say SLACR?
