Does anybody have this motherboard and has had success oc a 3600 x2 on it? I can't get it to overclock to save my life. Even using the software with it the highest it went to was 2.1ghz.
Specs on my machine are:
3600 x2 1.9
2gig ddr2 800mhz gskill
TF 560+
x1950pro 256mb
antec neo HE 550w

It's a Biostar board? I have one too. 550 se + 5000+. At 3.2ghz now. The cpu is black edition. Multi-unlocked.

To overclock AM2, you find the max ram, cpu & mobo speeds. Yes, it takes ages. A shortcut is to search for overclocks of the same cpu & mobo & try those values. Another is to look up a HTT/multiplier table to find an o/c that is close to your ram's stock speed.

Take my o/c for example:

3200 / 8 = 400 * 2 = 800

My cpu is at 3.2ghz, my divider is 8 & my ram is 800mhz.
