Differences between P35 boards?

I have decided to get a Gigabyte P35 board, as they are good overclockers (or so I am told) but I am new to all this and am a bit confused!

What are the differences between the different boards, and which would be right for me? I don't need DDR3 support, and no need for 2 16x pci-slots for graphics cards (think that is right).

Thanks.

DS3L supports NO RAID!! While DS3R supports Raid 0/1/0+1/5.

Also DS3R has 8 sata ports while DS3L only has 4.

I have heard the DS3R Onboard sound is better than DS3L too.

Also not all of the Gigabyte P35 boards have firewire/IEEE 1394. So if you need that make sure the motherboard you are getting has it.

I just built a system with the DS3L board, and I can tell you first hand that if you are looking for a very straight forward board layout this is what you are looking for. It does not have fancier options such as RAID, 2 pci xpress x16 slots, but it does have a few pci slots. This is a good board for someone who wants to make a low to medium end system (capable of recent technology, but not overpriced). Hope this helps =)
