I simply use the integrated connection on the motherboard.
What I do look for is a 1000Mbps transfer rate (GigaBit) 'cause I have two PCs and I transfer compressed DivX files from my primary PC to my HTPC some times 5GB - 10GB at a time. If both PCs have GigaBit transfer rates, then that means the files will transfer faster.
Gigabit will not have any affect on your internet connection unless you can afford to pay for a Gigabit transfer rate service.
killer is totaly waste of money every test has shown it to be total waster of money plus you can get a new high end asus mobo for the same price with build in wirelss b/g
Agreed, Killer is a complete waste of money and only good for showcasing the fact that you have more money than sense. Just use your motherboard, it's more than good enough
