Hello. i have a question about the ntuser.dat file and the effects it has on the registry.

my profile got corrupted and everytime i tried to log in, xp would set up a temp profile. so i go into my admin account which i can only acccess in safemode and create a new profile. then i manually change the name of the old profile to the name of the new profile and copied the ntuser.dat file from the new profile to the old profile. now i can log back in my old profile but i dont have any of my customizations like themes or firefox extentions.

How can i sort this out?
